Texas Book Company Announces Leadership Change
Greenville, Texas – June 1, 2016
Texas Book Company today announced a series of organizational and structural changes that leverage the Company's deep talent bench and position it for continued success.
Michael Kelly has joined Texas Book Company and assumed the role of Vice President, Wholesale Division. Mike comes to TBC with over 26 years in the higher education support industry. “Mike’s experience in technology and textbook divisions throughout his career will bring value to TBC’s wholesale division.” stated Texas Book Company’s president, Darren Croom. TBC looks forward to having Mike as part of their Leadership Team.
Kevin Wright has joined Texas Book Company and assumed the role of IT Director. Kevin comes to TBC with almost thirty years of experience ranging from strategic planning to software development. He has also been closely involved with mobile development and ecommerce. Darren Croom, Texas Book Company’s president stated, “Not only is Kevin a proven IT leader but he also has a deep understanding of the college textbook industry.” Texas Book Company is excited to have Kevin part of its Leadership Team.
Darren Croom has been appointed to the position of president of Texas Book Company. Darren has a long and distinguished career in the college textbook industry. Darren has been with TBC for 15 years and total of 22 years of industry experience. “Darren shares my values. He will be a good steward of what has been built and is capable of moving the company forward.” stated Brent Dyer, Texas Book Company’s CEO.
Tom Steele has been appointed to the position of executive vice president and CFO. Tom has a long and distinguished career in the college textbook industry. Tom has over 30 years of industry experience with nearly eight years with TBC. “Tom has a passion for the company, its team members and its customers. He is a tireless worker that leads by example.” stated Darren Croom, Texas Book Company’s president.
Rene` Griffin, Texas Book Company’s Vice President, Wholesale Division, has retired from TBC effective March 31, 2016. “During Rene’s 39 years of service to TBC, he has played a vital role in building the company it is today.” says Brent Dyer, Texas Book Company’s CEO. Texas Book Company is grateful for Rene’s oversite and guidance during his tenure and wish him the best as he enjoys his retirement.
