Ken Wiley
Director, Military & OnCourse Divisions

Ken Wiley began his career in the college bookstore industry in 1995 with Follett Higher Education Group as a student employee at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. In 1997, Ken entered and completed Follett’s Store Manager in Training Program and was hired as a Store Manager at Oral Roberts University Bookstore in Tulsa, OK. After two years of success at ORU, Ken was promoted to Store Manager of Regis University Bookstores in Denver, CO where he oversaw operation of 8 college bookstores in Colorado and Nevada. After a 13 year career with Follett, Ken and his family made the decision to move closer to family so in April 2008, he relocated to the Lubbock, TX area and began a new career with Nebraska Book Company as a General Manager for 3 off-campus stores serving Texas Tech University. After 5 years serving Texas Tech, Ken relocated with NBC/Neebo to the Monroe, LA area to become General Manager for Louisiana Delta Community College. Less than a year later, Ken was promoted to District Manager covering a 4 state area with an annual sales volume of $26 million. In January 2016, Ken joined Texas Book Company as Director of Operations for TBC’s OnCourse and Military Programs.

Douglas E. Day
Manager, Software Development

Doug brings over 20 years of experience in computer systems management. Before coming to Texas Book Company he worked at Daisytek International as the Senior Software Development Manager leading 15 technical and developmental team members in support of domestic and international business. He was responsible for the development of custom programs and enhancements, and automating distribution processes and reporting tools that increased efficiencies throughout the company. Doug is responsible for developing software that improved the purchasing of textbooks for both our bookstore and military customers. This custom design software allows TBC team members to efficiently purchase textbooks and has decreased processing time by over 14%. In addition to this, his work with our military customers includes the development of an “Add and Change Software” that improves the processing of course/textbook changes during box issue. Doug lends his expertise in computer systems and team leadership to the executive team in the development and deployment of the Company’s goals to support and sustain our continued growth.

Erin Cannon
Manager, Marketing Communications

Erin Cannon is an experienced marketing professional with over 20 years of service in corporate marketing communications and advertising. Her ability to capture a brand's essence visually and conceptually helps an organization rise above the noise of a crowded marketplace, stake a claim in the target consumer's mind, and create a valuable and memorable connection. To Erin, for every picture and every concept, there's a strategic purpose that embodies the brand. In the past Erin has lent her art direction and design skills to Fortune 500 clients like State Farm, FOX Broadcasting, Best Buy and Wal-mart. In 2009, Erin joined the Texas Book Company team to provide oversight for all communications materials and marketing initiatives to ensure consistency of message delivery across divisions. Erin is a problem solver and a creative force – a strategic creative all-star if you will - with deft skills in vendor management, contracts and customer service.

James Rice
Director, Operations

From 1977 thru 1996 James was the Distribution Manager at Lance Inc. in Greenville, Texas; responsible for a 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse, inventory control, supplier relations and nationwide delivery. In 1996 he moved to Sears Dallas Mail Center at the warehouse manager responsible for inventory control and facility operations.  Recruited by Case\New Holland (CNH America) in 1998, James assumed oversight of Case’s 500,000 sq. ft. distribution center, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, scheduling, and maintenance of rolling stock.  James joined Texas Book Company in 2010 as our Operations Manager for the Company’s 60,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters and distribution center in the Greenville Technology Airpark, overseeing the operations in our 42,000 sq. ft. warehouse and distribution center, state-of-the-art material handling and distribution of thousands of bookstore and Internet shipments daily to customers around the globe.
